5 Diagnosing and Rectifying Faults
Meaning
The fan module
has no power
supply.
The memory riser
is operating
properly.
The memory riser
is in the
intermediate state
of hot swap.
The memory riser
is not operating
properly.
The memory riser
is not installed
properly.
The memory riser
is off.
The hot insertion
or removal
operation has
failed.
Diagnosis
Check whether
the fan module is
installed properly.

View the iBMC
event alarm logs
to check whether
the memory riser
is faulty.
Check whether
the memory riser
is installed
properly.
Check whether
services can be
migrated or
stopped. After
services are
stopped, power
off and then
power on the
server.
● If the indicator
is off, attempt
to hot-swap
the memory
riser again. If
hot swap fails
again, replace
the memory
riser and
DIMMs on it.
● If the indicator
is steady
yellow, replace
the memory
riser and
DIMMs on it.
