Internal selfloopback test
Operating procedure
1.
An optical fiber cable does not need to be connected to the RJ71LP21-25 connector. Do not allow light to enter from the
connector.
2.
Set the module operation mode to "Internal Self-loopback Test".

Click the [Apply] button.
4.
Write the module parameters to the CPU module and reset the CPU module.
■Checking the status and result of internal selfloopback test
Check the status and result of internal selfloopback test with the LED indicator of the module.
Test status LED indication
Test in progress The RUN LED is turned on, the ERR LED is turned off, and the T PASS LED flashes. The SD/RD LED is turned on.
The dot matrix LED indicates "MD8".
Completed successfully Since the test is repeated during normal operation, the test is judged to have been completed successfully when the T PASS LED
flashes 20 times (for about 10 seconds) or more.
Completed with an error The ERR LED flashes and the dot matrix LED indicates "ER8" and error number alternately at intervals of one second.
■Checking the status when the operation is completed with an error
When an error is detected, the test is immediately completed (with an error).
When the test is completed with an error, the dot matrix at the front side of the RJ71LP21-25 indicates an error number. Take
actions according to the error number displayed. "_" in the error number is displayed as a space on the dot matrix display.
