Connecting the heating elements and three-phase line supply
The heating elements are connected by means of two 8-pin (POM low-end) or 6-pin (POM
mid-range) plug connectors at X1 and X3 of the POM.
The 3-phase line is connected by means of one 3-pin plug connector at X2 of the POM.
Note
• The plug connectors for the heating elements and the power connection are included in
the scope of supply of the heating control system.
Features: Spring-loaded terminal and automatic tool-free interlock. To unlock, press down
the two levers on the sides of the plug connectors. To lock the plug connector in place
correctly, press it in by the plug body and not by the gray unlatching wedge.
• If end sleeves are used on the cables, they must be 12 mm in length.
• The cable to the heating element must be no longer than 30 m.
NOTICE
The connected loads (heating elements) must not exceed the maximum permissible
current.
• POM, low-end: Max. 35 A per phase
• POM, mid-range: Max. 50 A per phase
Danger of electric shock from live heating controller or heating elements!
May cause death or serious injury
• Plug connectors may only be inserted in or removed from the connectors on the device
• Power supply cables must be de-energized during connection to the 3-pin X2 plug
