6.4.1.2 Replacing a Fan (Downflow)

Context
Recommended tools and materials: 13# socket wrench, Phillips screwdriver, small-
sized flat-head screwdriver, security torx hex key
Exercise caution during replacement as the fan is heavy.
Two people are required to move the fan.
Step 1 Tap Shutdown on the home screen of the display module.
Exercise caution because the device is still energized after it is shut down on the
screen of the display module.
Step 2 Open the front door and turn off the general switch. For a device that has two
power inputs, turn off the active power switch QF1 and standby power switch
QF2. Then, remove the fan maintenance cover using a Phillips screwdriver.

Step 3 Disconnect the fan cable from the interconnection terminal reserved in the
cabinet.
Step 4 Remove the screws on the beams above the fan by using a 13# socket wrench,
and remove the two screws on the connecting piece between the fan and the
bottom of the cabinet. Remove the beams and connecting piece.
