Troubleshooting
Read this section when you don't know what to do or
you are in trouble.
When Starting/Termi-
nating Softphone
Softphone failed to start
(1) Didn't you start Softphone soon after ending it?
Wait for a while and then restart it.
(2) If it is not started even when you double-click
[DtermSP30] icon, contact your system admin-
istrator.
(3) Are your login ID and password correct?
(4) If it is not started even when you enter correct
login ID and password, contact your system
administrator.
Softphone failed to be terminated
(1) Softphone cannot be ended when making a call,
or dial tone or busy tone is heard from the hand-
set. Confirm whether Softphone is surely cut.
(2) If 'Application doesn't answer' is displayed and
Windows cannot be terminated, forcefully ter-
minate Softphone.
(3) If the operation is abnormal at the next starting,
contact your system administrator.
You turned off your PC without termi-
nating Softphone
(1) If the operation is abnormal at the next starting,
contact your system administrator.
When in Waiting Status
You removed the handset from USB
port:
(1) Terminate Softphone and connect it to USB port
again. (You can connect it when the PC is turned
on.) A message may be displayed when it is
connected.
(2) If the handset doesn't operate normally even
when it is reconnected, terminate Softphone and
restart your PC.
(3) If it is not restored even after the above mea-
sures, contact your system administrator.
PC is in suspended status:
(1) After recovered from suspend, Softphone may
not operate normally. If so, restart Softphone.
(2) If Softphone doesn't operate normally even
after restart, terminate Softphone and restart PC.
(3) If Softphone doesn't operate normally even
after restarting PC, contact your system admin-
istrator.
Making a Call
Address book is not opened even after
clicking Address Book Button.
(1) Address book is not allocated to the Address
Book Button. Allocate your address book by
making configuration setting. For details, refer
to "Making it Possible to Use Address Book
Button".
You failed to make a call by copying the
phone number.
(1) Doesn't the copied phone number have any dou-
ble-byte characters?
Enter the phone number only in one-byte char-
acters.
You failed to make a call by clicking the
telephone number on a homepage.
(1) Have you made a setting required to make a
phone call using the phone number on the
homepage? For details, refer to "Making a Call
by Using Phone Number on Homepage".
Receiving a Call
No call sound is heard
(1) Isn't your call sound too low? Try to adjust the
call sound volume.
(2) Isn't your handset removed from USB port on
your PC? If so, connect it firmly.
(3) If it is not restored even after the above mea-
sures, contact your system administrator.
