Making a Call from
Member 01/02 displays
You can make a call after confirming whether the other
person can answer the call or not.
Confirm the other person's status using signs Member
01/02 displays.
Meanings of each sign are as follows:
Sign
When other person is 'present'
When other person is 'busy'
When the other person is 'away'
When 'the PC is turned off or Softphone is
not started (logged out)'
When you put a cursor on the button of this
sign, the reason of the person's absence is
popped up. The reason of absence can be
changed by making a setting. Refer to
"Selecting Absent Reason".
No Sign
When the reason is 'unknown'
When the other person is using a telephone
other than Softphone, or network trouble
occurs, no sign is displayed.
For how to use Member 01/02 displays, refer to "Con-
firming Other Person's Status".

Click
(Member 01 Button) or
(Member 02 Button).
The line display is switched to Member 01/02
displays.
Other person's status displayed by
Member 01/02 displays is displayed
only when the optional presence
server function is used. For details,
contact your system administrator.
Meaning

Put a cursor to the button for more
than 2 seconds.
Or, click Member 01/02 Button again.
Presence display of all the registered persons are
updated to the latest status.
When Member 01/02 displays
remains, unless the procedure of Step
2 is not followed, the displayed con-
tents will not be changed even though
other person's status is changed.

Click the person you want to call.
Or, you can make a call by clicking [Make a call]
on the displayed menu after right-clicking the
person you want to call.
The phone number of the person is displayed on
LCD and ringback tone is heard.
If you use USB handset (rec-
ommended):
Lift the handset from the pedestal
now.

When other person answers the call,
speak with him or her.
