How to Use Short
Message
You can send a short message to the person running
Softphone. When you receive a short message, you can
confirm the contents on 'Short message log' screen and
return the message to the sender.
This section describes how to send and receive a short
message and how to register Message Template you
often use.
A short message can be sent or received
only among the users logged in to the same
PBX.
Sending
There are two ways to send a short message.
You cannot send a short message
if the person you are sending a
message is as follows:
- Person who hasn't started Softphone
- Person using a telephone other than Soft-
phone
Using Member 01/02 Displays

Click
(Member 01 Button) or
(Member 02 Button).
Information Window switches to Member 01 or
Member 02 displays.
Other person's status shown on Mem-
ber 01 or Member 02 displays is dis-
played only when the optional
presence server function is used. For
details, contact your system adminis-
trator.

Right-click the person you want to send
a short message.
The following menu is displayed.

Click [Short Message].
The following screen is displayed.

Enter a message.
Enter a message in the message entering area.
