NEC SuperScript 1800 PCL6 printer driver
NEC SuperScript 1800 PCL5e printer driver
note:
NEC recommends using the PCL6 driver because
of it's advanced features. Use the PCL5e driver for legacy
applications that require PCL5e support.
Each driver has a properties window where all the controls
for the driver are located.

Opening the Driver Properties Window

The properties window for the PCL6 or PCL5e driver can be
opened from the Program Manager window or from inside a
word processor, spreadsheet, drawing, or other software
application.
To open the properties window from the Program Manager
window:
1.
Double-click the Main program icon to open the Main
program window.
2.
Double-click the Control Panel icon to open the Control
Panel window.
3.
Double-click the Printers icon to open the Printers dialog
box.
4. From the Installed Printers List, select NEC SuperScript
1800 . The drivers will be identified with PCL6 or PCL5e in
their name.
5. Click Setup to open the properties window.

To open the properties window from inside a software application:
1. Start the software application.
2. Open the document you want to print.
3. From the File menu, select Print to open the Print Setup
dialog box.
4. Assure that NEC SuperScript 1800 is selected in the
Printers list.
5.
Click Properties to open the properties window.

NEC SuperScript 1800 PCL6 Properties

The NEC SuperScript 1800 PCL6 properties window contains
tabs that divide the PCL6 driver properties into six
categories.
Paper
Graphics
Finishing
Printer
Overlays
Watermarks
Figures shown on the next page display each tab in the
NEC SuperScript 1800 PCL6 properties window.

APER
ROPERTIES
Use the paper properties for adjusting the orientation of the
print onto the page, what paper size is loaded in the printer,
the source for the paper, and how many copies you want to
print.

RAPHICS
ROPERTIES
Use the graphics properties for optimizing your print job for
documents that use bitmap or vector graphics and the type of
halftoning to apply to them. Font and paper type can also be
set.
TrueType Fonts can be sent to the printer during the print job,
or those stored on the printer can be used.
