To complete the serial connection:
note:
The serial port on the interface card is reserved
for computers running Windows 95 or 98.
1. Connect one end of 9-pin shielded serial cable (not
included with the upgrade kit or printer) to the serial
port on the interface card.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to your computer's
serial port.
3. From your computer, open the properties windows for
your printer driver.
From the Windows Start button, point to Settings ,
then click on Printers .
Right-button click on your computer's default
printer driver icon.
Select Properties to open the printer properties
window.
Click on the Details tab.

From the Print to the following port drop-down list,
select COM 1 or COM 2 . The selection is based on which
port the serial cable is connected to.

Click OK.

Confirm the installation by printing a printer
configuration page as described on page 51.
