If you want to print manually, one piece of media at a time,
you can either set up your specifications through the printer
driver or through the Operator Panel. You can print on
several types of media such as envelopes, label sheets, or
regular paper. See Appendix B of this user's guide for a list of
media that can be used. You must load your media from the
Multipurpose Tray (referred to as Tray 1 in your printer
driver or Operator Panel).
If you are going to print on thick or thin paper stocks, specify
these from the printer driver or the Operator Panel (see page
113 of Appendix B).
To set up your print job from the Properties dialog box follow
these instructions:
1. Click on the Paper tab.
2. Choose Tray 1 (Manual) from the Paper source drop-
down menu (A).
3. Press the Go/Continue button on the Operator Panel
when you are prompted (B).

To set up your print job from the Operator Panel (DOS or
UNIX users) follow these instructions:
1.
From the factory default
Continue button to take the printer offline.
2. Press the Menu button until the message
MENU
3. Press the Item button until
the display.
4.
Press the Value + button until the message
TRAY 1-M
5.
Press the Select button. An asterisk appears after the
selection:

Press the Go/Continue button to bring the printer back
online.
7.
Feed paper into the Multipurpose Tray one at a time (C).
Press the Go/Continue button every time you want to
print another sheet.
Paper sizes specified in the printer driver and on the
Operator Panel should match.
