3. Follow the instructions supplied with your computer's
infrared adapter to configure your computer for use.
4. Open the Details tab of your printer driver properties
window (see Chapter 4, "Printer Software,"for more
information).
5. From the Print to the following port drop-down list,
select Infrared Serial (COM) Connection Port
Infrared Printer (LPT) Port .

Confirm the installation by printing a printer
configuration page as described on page 51.
To complete the serial connection:
1.
Connect one end of a 9-pin shielded serial cable (not
included with the upgrade kit or printer) to the serial
port on the interface card.
2.
Connect the other end of the cable to your computer's
serial port.
3.
Open the properties windows for your printer driver:
From the Windows Start button, point to Settings ,
then click on Printers .
Right-button click on your computer's default
printer driver.
Select Properties to open the printer properties
window.
Click on the Details tab.
4. From the Print to the following port drop-down list,
select COM 1 or COM 2 . The selection is based on which
port the serial cable is connected to.
5.
Click OK.
6.
Confirm the installation by printing a printer
configuration page as described on page 51.
