Service Messages
If a major problem occurs, the Operator Panel will display
the message preceded by an error message.
CALL SERVICE
The amber light will be on. You must call an authorized
service representative to resolve this problem. Report the
code when you call. This will assist in diagnosing the
problem. See Chapter 10 for more information about getting
service.

PRG ERR While booting up the ROM's
checksum fails and the message

Panel. The printer needs to be turned
off and then on again. If the problem

IDP ERR The printer controller's program has a
problem. This occurs when some data

processing error is found by the
printer controller's firmware. The

LSU ERR The laser scan unit has a problem. The
printer needs to be turned off and then

on again. If the problem persists,

FSR ERR The fuser unit has a problem. The
printer needs to be turned off and then

on again. If the problem persists,
contact customer service and support.
EIF ERR The interface between the printer
controller and the engine has a

problem. The printer needs to be
turned off and then on again. If the
problem persists, contact customer
service and support.
