Creating the Drive Project ONLINE

This chapter shows you how to create the sample project ONLINE by carrying out
the following steps:
S Create a project.
S Enter and configure the component topology and configuration of the drive unit
automatically.
S Configure the drive motors and check the topology.
5.1

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites must be fulfilled before you create a drive project ONLINE
with the STARTER commissioning tool:
S The components are assembled (as described in Chapter 2).
S The device unit has been switched on in accordance with the instructions.
S The PROFIBUS Control Unit interface is connected to a PC/PG with
PROFIBUS interface.
The SINAMICS firmware is able to recognize the actual topology automatically and
store it in the appropriate parameters.
