If you choose to set an IPv6 static address, in the [IPv6] tab, select
[Enabled] for [Static address], and then specify [IP address], [Prefix len],
and [Default gateway]. You do not need to specify [Stateless address]
because it is not used for starting LPAR manager.
For [LP-Management module communication], set [IPv4] or [IPv6]. When
you have set [IPv4], you must set IPv4 addresses for LPAR managers and
the management module. When you have set [IPv6], you must set IPv6
addresses for LPAR managers and the management module.
Specify [VNIC system No.] and [Time zone]. You can omit specifying [LP
ID], but specifying it is recommended.
Note that, for management module firmware version A0245 or later, you
can set a NIC to be used as a management path and port. If the
management NIC is not specified, 1a/1b is used as the management
path.
Note:
A VNIC system number is used to create a MAC address, to prevent
the MAC addresses of shared NICs and virtual NICs from overlapping.
Set a unique number for every LPAR manager system, including
Compute Blade Series.
For the VNIC system number, specify a value of 1 or higher. The
maximum value varies depending on the LPAR manager firmware
version.
You must enter an IP address that does not overlap with IP addresses
of management modules and server blades. If you specify an IP
address that already exists, LPAR manager will be unable to connect
to the Web console or remote console.
