LOCKOUT CAM CIRCUIT

This key-start vehicle is equipped with a lockout cam that allows the engine to be started and reved only when
the Forward/Reverse handle is in the NEUTRAL position. The lockout cam (yellow) is located on the back of
the Forward/Reverse handle. It is NOT a serviceable component on this vehicle.
NOTE: Be sure the cam is in the correct position. The cam should activate the limit switch only when the
Forward/Reverse handle is in the NEUTRAL position (Figure 11-10, Page 11-11).
The lockout cam circuit consists of the connecting wires and a limit switch that is located on the Forward/
Reverse shifter assembly and is activated by the lockout cam (Figure 11-11, Page 11-12).
