4.4.1 Check and washing of flow cell

Flow cell unit (P/N 893-5350)
If the inside of the flow cell is contaminated, it must be cleaned.
Prepare the following items for the cleaning.
• Glass syringe with capacity of about 10 mL
• Wash fluid

Loosen the retaining screw of the flow cell unit (see
Fig. 4-8).
(2)
Pull the flow cell unit straight out.
(3)
Check the inside of the cell visually to see if it is
contaminated with any foreign substance (crystallized
substance, etc.).
(4)
Check the outside of the cell for any leakage.
(5)
If contamination is observed inside the cell, it must be
cleaned with an appropriate solution. If an aqueous
solvent has been used, distilled water should be used for
washing. And if an organic solvent has been used, then
ethanol (or acetone) should be used for washing.
