10.4.1 Detecting a failure
When failure is detected in the RAID1, the following actions are executed by this equipment.

・This equipment shifts to degraded operation on one drive when a failure is
detected in RAID1. When you start the equipment for the first time after a shift to
degraded operation, the equipment might restart once to ensure that it is not
started from the failed drive.
The following part of this section describes how to recover from each type of failure and how
to handle the situation when a problem occurs during recovery work.
