10.5.4 Data Matching Procedure
Due to deterioration over time, a drive might have defective blocks and some data might be
unreadable. You can reduce the possibility that rebuild processing fails when the system
recovers from degraded operation by performing drive matching (checking the consistency of
data in the drive) periodically. For drive matching, use the software RAID utility. For details,
see "10.6.5 Consistency Check Function".
