3. Click View event logs under System and Security.

In Windows Logs, select the type of log.
Application records events related to applications.
Security records events related to security.
System records events that occur in Windows system components.

On the Action menu, click Save All Events As.
6.
In File name, type the file name of the log.
7.
In Save as type, select the type of the log file you want to save, and then click Save.
