Collecting Configuration Information

This section describes how to collect hardware information or configuration.

4.2.1 Windows Server 2012 R2 / Windows Server 2012

1. Click Search on Charms Bar.
You can use Run feature by right-clicking on the lower left corner of the screen.
2. Type msinfo32.exe in the text box, and then press <Enter> key.
3. System Information dialog box will appear.
4. Click Export from File menu.
5. Type a file name in File Name, and then click Save.

4.2.2 Windows Server 2008 R2/ Windows Server 2008

1. Click Run from Start menu.
2. Type msinfo32.exe in Open, and then click OK.
3. System Information dialog box will appear.
4. Click Export from Files menu.
5. Type a file name in File Name, and then click Save.
