Introduction
The following configuration shows the redundant S7-1500R/H system with communications
processors and a system power/load current supply.
Benefits/advantages
The redundant system can be extended with up to 2 (R-system)/6 (H-system) CP 1543-1
communications processors per CPU. For more advantages, see the Configuration with
communications processors on Industrial Ethernet (Page 139) section. With a negative power
segment overview you need another PS system power supply module on the rail.
The redundant design of system power supply modules in the H-CPUs increases the
availability of the supply voltage. If a PS or supply voltage fails, the H-CPU (with the central
CPs) remains in the RUN-Redundant operating state.
