Introduction
The section below shows you the configuration of the S7-1500H redundant system with S2
devices in a combined topology.
Advantages/benefits
• Within the combined topology, any topology is allowed:
– Ring topology
– Line topology
– Star topology
• The combined topology can be extended by additional S2 devices.
• An existing backbone ring can be connected to the S7-1500H redundant system. They
connect the backbone ring and other S2 devices via switches.
