The rail is the rack of the S7-1500R/H automation system. You
can use the entire length of the rail (marginless assembly).
You can order the rail as Accessories/spare parts (Page 497).
The R/H-CPUs are mounted on a standardized 35 mm rail via
the DIN rail adapter.
The DIN rail adapter can be ordered as Accessories/spare parts
(Page 497).
Properties of the active backplane bus:
• Reaction-free removal and insertion of CP 1543-1 commu-
nications processors.
• Module reserves (CPs) kept ready for later use.
The active backplane bus can be used with the H-CPUs (as of
firmware version V3.1) and the CP 1543-1 communications
processors (from firmware version V3.0).

The active backplane bus can be ordered as an accessory/spare
part (Page 497).
The screw set is inserted in the rail's T-profile groove, and is
required for grounding the rail.
The screw set included in the scope of delivery of the rails is
available in standard lengths (160 mm to 830 mm) and can be
ordered as Accessories/spare parts (Page 497).
