Mapping of a handset directory

All the handset directories you see in talk&surf are only a mapping of the actual directo-
ries stored in the handsets.
The contents of this mapping generally corresponds to the directory stored in the hand-
set only immediately after the transfer with Receive. After the first change you make in
talk&surf or the handset, the contents will differ.
All the changes you make in these mappings are of a preparatory nature only. The actual
directories stored in the handsets remain unchanged until you transfer the mapping to
the handset with the Send function.
This technical background offers two key advantages:
The handset directories can be prepared on the PC and then synchronised without
u
the functioning of the handsets being restricted by permanent data transfer.
Any incorrect entries can be spotted and remedied before data transfer.
