Emergency numbers
The Emergency numbers tab lists the telephone numbers registered as emergency
numbers with the base station. You can dial these numbers even with terminals that you
have assigned the receive only or internal only authorisation.
Configurable numbers
Here you can enter up to 5 external telephone numbers that you need for emer-
gency situations. The maximum length of the telephone number is 32 digits.
Fixed numbers
Here you can see the emergency numbers valid for your local network. These emer-
gency numbers have been transferred by your network provider and cannot be
changed.
External room monitor
If you want to use a handset as a room monitor, you have to activate the base station's
room monitor function by entering an external destination number. The maximum
length of the external destination number is 32 digits.
The room monitor function is registered with your base station with the internal
number 99. You have to enter this internal number in your handset as the destination
number.
Once the room monitor alarm has been triggered, the handset opens an internal line to
the base station which is redirected to the external destination number.
SMS
Use the SMS service centres tab to configure the short message service (SMS) function
of your base station. You can define whether text messages can be sent or only received
via your base station.
The sending and receiving of text messages is organised by SMS service centres. You
have to register the telephone number of such an SMS service centre with your base sta-
tion before you can send or receive text messages via this SMS service centre.
You can enter up to 10 telephone numbers in the SMS service centres tab for your pre-
ferred SMS service centres from which you want to be able to receive text messages.
If your base station also permits the sending of text messages, you have to select one of
these telephone numbers as the active send centre.
All the text messages you send from one of your internal devices will be relayed by the
base station to the active send centre.
