Notes on operation

Together with talk&surf, your base station offers you a wide range of options for using
and combining your connected devices. The following chapters provide a general
impression.
You will first have to configure your base station before you can use the functions
described here to the full.

Bear in mind when working with Bluetooth devices that the range is lim-

ited to a few metres.

Assigning a Bluetooth mobile telephone to an internal device

A registered Bluetooth mobile telephone is entered in the MSN list of the MSN settings
tab as GSM. Thus you can select the mobile telephone as the Send or Receive MSN for
an internal device in the DECT devices tab:
The following connection types are possible for an internal device:
Send MSN = GSM

- Mobile telephone within range of the base station:
The internal device opens all outgoing connections via the mobile telephone.
The mobile telephone's Send MSN is transmitted.
- Mobile telephone not in range of the base station:
The internal device opens all outgoing connections via the base station.
The mobile telephone's Send MSN is transmitted.
