External call forwarding

You can define call forwarding for each incoming MSN individually in the External call
forwarding dialogue.
If external call forwarding has been set up for an MSN, you cannot set up
i
Night service external call for that MSN.
External call forwarding
You can enter up to three call forwarding modes for each MSN in the External call for-
warding tab:
The immediate call forwarding is activated as soon as an external call is received.
u
The call forward when busy is only activated if the Receive MSN is busy.
u
The call forward after no answer is activated after a short wait unless a different
u
terminal takes the external call.
You can enter numbers with up to 32 digits as the destination number.
Bear in mind that the immediate call forward has priority over the other two because
it reacts to every incoming call without checking other conditions.
The call forward when busy and after no answer can both be active for an MSN at the
same time, because the conditions for activating call forwarding differ.
If you have entered your base station as preferred redirection location in the System
Settings > Assignments dialogue, the following restrictions apply:
Only one external call forward can be activated at any one time. This applies even if
u
you set up call forwarding for several Receive MSNs.
The call forward when busy option is not available because the base station can
u
only redirect a call when both B-channels are free.
Automatic call forwarding
Automatic call forwarding ensures that incoming calls are not lost if you are out of the
base station's range with your handset.
Automatic call forwarding only works if the Receive MSN is assigned to only one hand-
set. After activation, an incoming call for that handset is automatically redirected to the
external destination number if the handset called is out of the DECT range.
If you activate automatic call forwarding, select the MSN and enter a destination tele-
phone number with up to 32 digits.
