5-24 Installing the Operating System
PROSet
PROSet is the network feature check utility included in the network driver.
You can use PROSet to do the followings:
Check detailed adapter information
Diagnose by using loopback and packet send tests
Set teamings
The configuration of more than one network adapter as a team can provide servers with an
environment of excellent fault tolerance to improve the throughput between server switches. To use
the feature, PROSet is required.
Install PROSet as described in the following procedure.
Using Windows Server 2003
1.
Insert the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
2.
The [Windows Explorer] dialog starts.
* If using a standard start menu
Click the Start menu and click [Windows Explorer].
* If using a classic start menu
Click the Start menu, point to [Programs], [Accessories] and click [Windows
Explorer].
3.
Run "PROSET.EXE".
Insert CD-ROM "NEC EXPRESSBUILDER" into the CD-ROM drive and double-click
on the "PROSET.EXE" icon in the "<CD-ROM drive
letter>:\WINNT\DOTNET\LAN\BC5\PROSet\WS03XP32" directory.
The [Intel(R) PROSet - InstallShield Wizard] dialog starts.
4.
Click [Next].
5.
Choose "I accept the terms in the license agreement" and click [Next].
6.
Choose "Typical" and click [Next].
7.
Click [Install].
8.
When [InstallShield Wizard Completed] window is displayed, click [Finish].
9.
Restart the system.
