Expansion Slot Card

The CPU blade can contain one optional expansion slot card which allows a network extension or a
file device feature extension. To install an expansion slot card, use the riser card installed on the
CPU blade. The riser card is installed in the CPU blade in standard.
IMPORTANT:
The optional expansion slot card and the riser card are extremely
sensitive to static electricity. Always be properly grounded when
touching the card. Do not touch the terminals and parts on the
optional expansion slot card or the riser card with your hands bare
or place the cards directly on the desk. See "Static Precautions" for
more information on how to prevent damages due to static
electricity.
A combination of boards can be installed in the Blade Assembly
Unit under certain restrictions. Contact your service representative
for details.
If you install or remove the expansion slot cards to/from two or
more CPU blades, take care not to work with the PCI bracket
assembly of the other CPU blades.
If you install or remove the expansion slot cards to/from two or
more CPU blades, make sure not to switch PCI bracket assemblies
between blades. Reinstall each PCI bracket assembly to the blade
from which you removed it.
