INSTALLING THE OPERATING SYSTEM

See Chapter 5 for more information on the installation of the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or
Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system.
To install operating systems other than the ones listed above, contact your service representative.
IMPORTANT:
system date and time by using the BIOS setup utility "SETUP". See the
next chapter for detail.

INSTALLING UTILITIES

Install the utilities that come with the server. See Chapter 6 for details.

MAKING BACKUP COPIES OF SYSTEM INFORMATION

Once system setup is completed, we recommend you backup the system information by using the
Off-line Maintenance Utility.
Without a backup of the system information, the information and settings specific for the customer
system cannot be restored after the repair. Back up the system information referring to "Off-line
Maintenance Utility" in Chapter 8.
