Note
A following axis of the electronic gearbox follows the leading axis during both phases of the
extended stop according to the motion rule, i.e. no independent braking is possible on
transition from machine data phase MD 21380 $MC_DELAY_TIME1 to machine data phase
MD21381 $MC_ESR_DELAY_TIME2.
In order for ESR to function correctly, the enable signals must be set and remain set.
2.7.5
NC-controlled retraction
Initial conditions
The following is significant for NC-controlled retraction:
• The axes selected with POLFMASK and POLFMLIN
• The axis-specific positions defined with POLF
• The time slots ESR_DELAY_TIME1 and ESR_DELAY_TIME2
• Triggering by system variable $AC_ESR_TRIGGER
• agreed ESR reaction MD37500 $MA_ESR_REACTION
• G code LFPOS of modal 46th G code group addressed
Response for ESR_REACTION = 21
If system variable $AC_ESR_TRIGGER = 1 is set and if a retraction axis with the following
machine data is configured for this axis in this channel $AA_ESR_ENABLE=1, then
LIFTFAST will be activated in this channel:
MD37500 $MA_ESR_REACTION = 21
Prerequisite:
The retraction position must be programmed in the parts program. The activate signals must
be set for the retraction movement and remain set.
Fast retraction to the position defined with POLF is triggered via G code LFPOS of the modal
46th G code group.
The retracting movement configured with LFPOS, POLF for the axes selected with
POLFMASK or POLFMLIN replaces the path motion defined for these axes in the parts
program.
During retraction:
• The axes defined in POLFMASK travel to the positions specified with POLF
• The axes defined in POLFMLIN travel to the positions specified with POLF in linear
