The Data After Reduction value represents the final, reduced size of all data that has been
processed by the data deduplication and compression engines.
Data after reduction is divided into the following categories:

Deduplication Ratio
Compression Ratio

12.5 VTL Status

The VTL Status page allows you to view information about virtual tape library (VTL)
components, including tape drives, storage slots, and cartridges. You can view a physical
or logical representation of VTL components, or view VTL performance statistics.

ETERNUS CS800
Description
(ETERNUS CS800 VTL and Multi-Protocol configurations
only) The amount of data stored in deduplicated
partitions. This includes incoming data from Cartridge
Based Replication, and incoming data from Failback
replication.
(ETERNUS CS800 NAS and Multi-Protocol configurations
only) The amount of data stored in deduplicated
OpenStorage (OST) storage servers. This includes
incoming data for OST and ETERNUS CS800 Accent.
Description
The total reduction ratio of all data that has been
processed by the data deduplication and compression
engines (Data Before Reduction divided by Data After
Reduction).
The deduplication ratio of all data that has been
processed by the data deduplication engine.
The compression ratio of all data that has been processed
by the compression engine.
