System states

No information from the crane or from third-party systems is available to SIMOCRANE ESSM. The
remote PLC must therefore make certain states relating to the overall system available. These are
as follows:
• The state of the main crane breaker
• The "ready for operation" signal of the battery system
• The enable signal for operation and the state of the SINAMICS DCP contactors so that
disconnection on two poles can be detected
MainBreakerClsed
This bit is set as long as the main battery breaker is closed. The actual command for opening
the main battery breaker must reset the bit.
BatSystemRdy
This is the monitoring bit for the battery system.
It indicates whether the battery system is signaling "readiness for operation" and is able to
accept requests for power. A fault in the battery system must reset this bit.
NoCAT0Stop
This bit can be used as a general enable signal. It must be reset if a fault that should result in
shutdown of SIMOCRANE ESSM occurs somewhere in the overall system. Shutdown routine 3
is initiated in SIMOCRANE ESSM in this case.
DCDCUnit1Disconn - DCDCUnit8Disconn
Specify here whether the LV HRC fuses on both sides for disconnecting the power converter
from the battery and the DC link are closed or open. A "logical one" indicates that the
connection is open. A "logical zero" is assigned to any non-existent SINAMICS DCP units.

Control via HMI

The principles which apply to control via HMI are the same as those applicable to control via
remote PLC.
For further details about the individual commands and messages, refer to chapter Selection
of operator interface (Page 70).
