2.2.5 Starting the System
Once all the connections are firmly connected, the System
Administrator may start the VPS system. Before starting,
turn the power switch to ON, the system will start up in the
following sequence.
Note:
The calls to the VPS can be processed after the Running
Indicator (LED) lights.

Turn the power switch of the VPS to ON.
The Power Indicator will go on. The green running indica-
tor will light once, then turn off.

"SYSTEM TEST" will be displayed on the screen of the
terminal.
CO1 - DSPI : No error
CO2 - DSP2 : No error

The VPS will test the CPU card, the hard disk drive, the
CO and the DSP cards, "SYSTEM SETUP..." will be dis-
played.

Active ports and DSPs will be displayed on the screen.

(This will be changed according to the System's condition.)

If the system has completed the start up sequence succes-
fully, the running indicator lights. (The delay time will be
changed according to the System's condition.)

"$ * ON LINE MODE $ *" will be displayed.
