Enabling AES encryption

Perform this task to enable the encryption of data transmitted over the PTP 800
bridge. For more information on AES encryption, see
This procedure must be repeated at both ends of the link.
NOTE
To enable AES encryption, proceed as follows:

Check that the license key allows AES encryption. If not, purchase a new

access key and enter it on the web interface. For more information, see

From the left hand menu, select Configuration. The System Configuration

page is displayed

Update the AES encryption attributes

Select Submit Updated System Configuration. The Configuration Change
Reboot dialog is displayed

Select Reboot Wireless Unit. The Reboot Confirmation dialog is displayed

Select OK. The reboot progress message is displayed. On completion, the

unit restarts with AES encryption enabled.

Enter the current password, or leave blank if not yet set.
Enter the new password. It may contain any combination
of characters, up to 31 characters in length.
Retype the new password.
If AES encryption is enabled at one end of the link, it must also be
enabled at the other end of the link with the same encryption algorithm
and key, otherwise the link will not work.
