Condition
1. The user must have a digital keyset with a
answer machine flexible button programmed on it
to operate this feature.
2. The flash rate for the flexible button is red 60
ipm flutter. The cadence of the ring shall be that of
a queue recall.
3. Internal calls are not supported for answering
emulation.
4. Incoming calls from normal CO line can be
emulated only if one station is assigned the ring.
5. Answering emulation is available for incoming
calls from DID/DISA line.
6. Answering machine mode will only operate
when the station is idle. A station already on a
call will not be able to utilize this mode if a caller
goes to VM while the station is on a call.

SMART TRANSFER

Description
This feature utilizes the digital connection to
perform smart call transfers
requests to be transferred to an extension. This is
a standard feature.
Operation
If the destination party is idle
When a caller in the voice mail requests to be
transferred to an extension, the voice mail will
query the LDK-24 as to the status of the
extension. Possible states are:
Busy/DND - The voice mail will immediately follow
the programming set in the target extensions
settings (Note 1) without making a transfer
attempt.
Idle
extension.(Note 2)
OOS (out of service) - The voice mail will
immediately follow the programming set in the
target extensions settings (Note 1)without making
a transfer attempt.
Note 1: Possible settings are Forward to mailbox,
Supervised transfer to a destination, Blind transfer,
Forward to Extension, Forward to Menu and
Forward to Time Control. For more information
please refer to VODAVI digital voice mail
functional specification.
Note 2: When the called party answers the call
while he is in idle status. He has the choice to
accept or deny the incoming call. If he denies the
call the voice mail will immediately follow the
programming set in the target extensions settings
