5. DIAGNOSTIC TEST OPERATION
How to select each menu in the DIAG TEST MENU
Each menu in the DIAG TEST MENU can be selected in one of the following ways.
• Select a menu with PS/2 mouse or USB mouse, then perform a test.
• Select a menu with the [↑], [↓], [→], [←], or [Tab] key on the keyboard, then depress the [ENTER] key to
perform a test.
• Type in a numeric value in brackets shown on the right of the menu item, then perform a test. (Example:
Type in 1 to perform a display test.
5.4.1 Termination of the Serviceman Diagnostic Test Program
By selecting the END(.) button on the DIAG TEST MENU screen, the dialog box below appears. According to
the screen message, choose "Shutdown" or "goto console".
When choosing "Shutdown", the Serviceman Diagnostic Test Program is terminated, then the POS terminal is
turned off.
When choosing "goto console", this program is terminated, then the display restores to the console.
By depressing the [0] [0] [0] [ENTER] keys on the console, the program restarts.
By depressing the [9] [9] [9] [ENTER] keys, the POS terminal is turned off.
By depressing the [8] [8] [8] [ENTER] keys, the POS terminal reboots.
