5. DIAGNOSTIC TEST OPERATION
5.4.4.3 POS-K/B Setting
In this test, POS keyboard key code setting for the PKBST-50 series is performed. The key code setting will be
written into the EEPROM installed into the POS keyboard.
For key allocation setting, DAT file storing the key allocation setting is required. (This DAT file should be
prepared separately.) To perform the key allocation setting, please copy the DAT file into an optional folder
beforehand.
(1) Operation procedure
1. Select the POS-K/B Setting(3) button on the Keyboard Test Menu screen.
2. Click the K/B Setting File Selection(2) button to display the dialog below. Then, select a setting file
according to the model.
3. Make sure a proper file is selected, then click the OK button to restore the display to the POS-K/B
Setting screen. (Selecting a wrong key code may damage the EEPROM.)
4. Click the K/B Setting(1) button.
5. The selected file data is loaded, and the Change Key Count value and Changed Key Count value are
displayed. Make sure those values are matched.
