5. DIAGNOSTIC TEST OPERATION
5.4.5.4 COM Loopback Test
CAUTION!
1. A loopback connector is required for performing this test. Connect a loop back connector to the
COM port to be tested beforehand.
2. If this test is performed with the touch panel or other devices connected to the COM port(s), the
POS terminal may lock up. Before performing the test, please be sure to disconnect all the
devices from the COM ports.
In this test, the loopback test of the COM port is performed.
(1) Operation procedure
1. Select the COM Loopback Test(4) button on the I/O Communication Test Menu screen.
2. Select a button of COM port to be tested, then the test is performed.
3. When the test is completed, the result is displayed in the Result, Error Code, and Error Code Ex columns,
respectively. Also "OK" or "NG" is displayed on the upper right corner of the screen. If an error occurs,
nothing is displayed for 3 seconds depending on a maximum of 3-second timeout period.
4. When the COM port performs correctly, click the OK button to terminate the test. If not, click the
NG button.
