Method
Observe the
PWR, RUN,
and ALM
indicators.
Check
whether the
indicator on
the detector is
normal.

Expected Result
● If the PWR
indicator is steady
green, the power
input is normal.
● The RUN
indicator blinks at
long intervals,
indicating that
the device is
running properly.
● The ALM
indicator is off.
The indicator blinks
once every 6
seconds. (The
interval varies with
detectors. See the
product
instructions.)
3 Routine Maintenance
Troubleshooting
● If the PWR
indicator is off,
check whether
the
communications
cable is loose or
disconnected or
whether the
smart ETH
gateway is not
energized. If so,
reconnect the
cable. If not,
replace the cable.
● If the RUN
indicator blinks
fast, check
whether the
communications
cable is faulty. If
the fault persists,
replace the multi-
functional sensor.
● If the ALM
indicator is steady
on, check for
alarms.
If the indicator blinks
twice every 6
seconds or does not
blink, the smoke
detector is faulty or
the cables are not
properly connected.
Check the cables or
replace the smoke
detector.
