Safety notes
V
CAUTION!
Do not disassemble the power supply unit. Doing so may cause
●
electric shock.
Areas around the power supply unit may remain extremely hot after
●
shutdown. After shutting down the server, wait for hot components to
cool down before removing the power supply unit.
When installing the power supply unit, be sure to confirm that the
●
connector of the power supply unit is not damaged or bent.
Do not insert your hands in the power supply unit slot when removing
●
the power supply unit. Doing so may cause electric shock.
If the power supply unit is hard to remove, do not pull out it by force.
●
The power supply unit is heavy, so handle it carefully. If you drop it by
●
mistake, injuries may result.
Follow the safety instructions in the chapter

Basic information
The server enclosure uses a hot-plug PSU, which automatically sets itself to a
mains voltage in the range of 200 - 240 V. (For the Japanese market there are
two PSUs available: PSU for 100V is set to a mains voltage in the range of 100V
- 240V). As an option, the power supply can be expanded with an extra PSU to
create a redundant power supply. If a PSU fails, the redundant configuration
assures continued operation. The defective PSU can be replaced during
operation.
Complete PSU redundancy will work only in one-node configuration.
In a multi-node configuration, full redundancy cannot be guaranteed. In case of
PSU failure a warning is generated and all CPUs will be forced to work with the
lowest frequency.
