General Run and Transport Problems

NOTE: Check Diagnostic Light (serial number below
312000000) or InfoCenter display (serial number above
312000000) for possible operator advisories or faults
whenever diagnosing machine electrical problems.
Problem
Engine kills when the functional control lever is in the
MOW or TRANSPORT position with the operator in the
seat.
Machine battery (12VDC) does not charge.
Engine kills during operation (operator sitting on seat).
Electrical System
Possible Causes
Operator is sitting too far forward on the seat (seat
switch not depressed).
Parking brake is engaged.
Parking brake switch is out of adjustment or is faulty.
Parking brake switch wiring is loose, corroded or
damaged.
Seat switch is faulty.
Seat switch wiring is loose, corroded or damaged.
Wiring to the charging circuit components is loose,
corroded or damaged (see electrical schematic in
Chapter 10 -- Foldout Drawings).
Voltage regulator is loose or not grounded to engine
(Greensmaster 3320 machines).
Charge circuit relay or circuit wiring is faulty
(Greensmaster 3320 machines).
The engine alternator belt is loose or damaged
(Greensmaster 3420 machines).
Alternator fusible link in the fusible link harness is
faulty.
12VDC battery is faulty.
Alternator/voltage regulator is faulty.
Operator moved too far forward on the seat (seat
switch not depressed).
The parking brake was engaged or the parking brake
sensor is out of adjustment or faulty.
The seat switch or circuit wiring is faulty.
Engine coolant temperature is excessive
(Greensmaster 3420).
Wiring to run circuit components is loose, corroded or
damaged (see electrical schematic in Chapter 10 --
Foldout Drawings).
