Checking the Grounding Cable
A secure grounding ensures that the devices operate stably, prevents lightning shock, and
resists interference. Check the grounding condition of the installation site according to the
related requirements.
2.2 Installing the MCU and Connecting Cables
Before using the MCU, place it on a hard flat surface or in a cabinet, and then connect cables
as required.
2.2.1 Fixing the MCU
The MCU can be placed horizontally on a stable plane. The MCU can also be fixed into a
standard cabinet of 19 inches.

2.2.2 Connecting the Ground Cable
A secure grounding is the foundation of lightning protection and anti-interference for the
MCU. Therefore, the grounding for the device must meet the requirements.

Check whether the length of the tail fiber meets the requirement. For details about the
specifications regarding bending the optical fiber, see the descriptions on the optical
fiber.
Before connecting the power cable, ensure that the ground cable is properly connected.
