Seismic Considerations
If the unit is to be installed where there is a chance of earthquakes, ensure that the device, as

consider the effects of a strong earthquake can result in damage to the unit and physical
injury to anyone nearby.

NOTE: The actual vibration inflicted upon a device during an earthquake can be
intensified by the architecture of the building and floor where the unit is located.
Generally it is said that the vibration felt on the fifth floor and up in a nine-story
building is intensified by two to three times what we would feel on the ground.
In a moderate to strong earthquake, this can cause racks to overturn and
unanchored equipment to bounce along the floor.
