3.2.8 10GBASE-ER/10GBASE-EW Single-Mode Optical Fiber Cable
(Core Diameter: 10 μm, SC Twin-Core Connector)
This is used for the connection with 10GBASE-ER/10GBASE-EW.
The boundary with 10GBASE-ER/10GBASE-EW is the connector on GS4000.
The maximum transmission distance between the devices with 10GBASE-ER/10GBASE-EW
when using an optic fiber which core/clad diameter is 10/125μm (wave length: 1300nm) is
40Km.
Figure 3.2-8 shows the rough sketch of the cable, and Table 3.2-13 shows the specification of
an optic fiber interface.
