NOTE: Set all the switches of the GS4000 to "ON". When the GS4000 does not have a
high port-density PSU-integrated NIF installed, it can be powered by setting only
one of its power switches to "ON".
However, when GS4000 has a redundant power supply system, the basic control
unit (BCU) might detect an abnormality of power sources and show the ststus
code "22" in the STATUS CODE area if all the switches are not set to "ON". In
such a case, set all the switches to "ON" so that GS4000 can start running
normally. (The conflict between the configuration and number of active power
supplies is resolved and the status code "22" diappears.)
NOTE: Make sure that the required number of power supply modules are mounted in
the GS4000 before powering it on.
For details, see the section "1.1 Chassis".
NOTE: When powering ON, set all the switches of GS4000 to "ON" within an 8 seconds
time period. Otherwise, the basic control unit (BCU) might detect a conflict
between the configuration and the actual number of active power sources. In this
case, fix the problem by complying with the following instructions.

Instructions
The device can work.
Before starting to use it, set all the switches
to ON. (An abnormality in power supply will
be resolved and the display of the STATUS
CODE "22" will disappear.)
Due to the lack of capacity of the power
supply modules, the high port-density PSU-
integrated NIF cannot become active.
In this case, the power supply should be
reset, by cycling all the switches of the
GS4000 to "OFF" and then back to "ON" .
Before turning off power sources, carefully
read the caution messages/notes in the
section "(2) Powering off the GS4000-80E1"
below.
