e. Holding the drawer handle, slide the Hettich unit back in the

CAUTION
Do not proceed without confirming that the Hettich unit shelf locks in
place. The Hettich centrifuge unit does not start if it is not locked in place.
2. Close the Hettich unit:
a. At the front of the Hettich unit drawer, using the T-handle 8-mm
b. Turn the Hettich unit power switch to the On position.
c. Turn the Hettich unit key clockwise until it stops.
d. Ensure 8 cassettes are on the scale and 2 cassettes are in the buffer

4. Pull out the E-stop button.
5. At the LineMaster, select Offline.
6. When the Offline button turns white, select Online.

Calibrating the Speed of the Hettich Unit Rotor

If your laboratory requires an annual verification of the speed of the
Hettich unit rotor, a qualified calibration service technician must certify the
operating speed of the rotor.
Note Perform this procedure only after the Centrifuge module is in the
shutdown state and the Hettich unit is not processing any samples.
1. Access the Hettich unit:
a. Push in the E-stop button.
WARNING
Do not reach into the Hettich centrifuge unit through the hatch to
remove sample tubes, cassettes or buckets. Reaching into the Hettich
centrifuge unit through the hatch can cause bodily injury. Pull out the
Hettich centrifuge unit and open the lid to remove any components.
