Troubleshooting
Note If an E-stop occurs while the interface is transitioning from
Shutdown to Offline, the buttons on the Centrifuge instrument panel
are disabled. To bring the interface online, use the LineMaster
workspace.
Note If you restart the robot computer to recover from an E-stop
condition, ensure that the E-stop button is pulled out.
Note If the system is in E-stop due to an error with the Hettich unit, the
samples in the Hettich unit at the time of the error are sent to SIQ for
investigation.

Recovering from a Loss of Power

BIOHAZARD
Wear personal protective equipment. Use universal precautions. Refer to
Appendix A, Safety Information for recommended precautions when
working with biohazardous materials.
CAUTION
Do not perform recovery procedures without the supervision of a
laboratory supervisor or your technical support provider. Incorrect
recovery procedures may cause damage to the Centrifuge module or
sample tubes.
CAUTION
Do not lift the robot while the power is off. This can damage the robot
and sample tubes.
The Centrifuge module provides battery backup power to the Hettich unit
upon the loss of AC power. The Centrifuge module checks the battery
power supply to determine if there is sufficient battery power to remove
the cassettes from the Hettich unit.
If a spin is in progress during a power loss, the UPS supplies battery
power to the Hettich to complete the spin cycle.

If the spin status is Spun, the sample tube routes to the
appropriate station for processing.
