Universal Power Supply (UPS)

The Centrifuge module contains a Universal Power Supply (UPS) that
provides temporary battery power during power loss. The UPS ensures that
in the event of a power loss, the Centrifuge has enough power to complete
the current spin cycle.
If the power is not restored within 5 seconds, the Centrifuge module
begins a shutdown process. The UPS maintains power to the Centrifuge
module to continue operations until the battery power depletes or power is
restored.
If a spin is in progress, the spin completes. After a spin completes, if the
UPS has at least 40% battery power, the robot continues operations
removing all cassettes from the Hettich unit before transitioning to
shutdown.
