Managing PoE on the Port Extender

This section describes how to manage PoE on the port extender.

Upgrading the PoE Controller

To upgrade the PoE controller firmware on a port extender, use the following command. You can upgrade
the PoE controller firmware using the firmware packaged with the Dell Networking OS. After the upgrade is
successful, the port extender reloads automatically.
NOTE:
You cannot upgrade the PoE controller when any other upgrade is in progress. Upgrading the PoE
controller may take a few minutes to complete. Also, the CLI is blocked until the upgrade is complete.

Upgrade the PoE controller.

Verify the PoE controller firmware version that the PE is using.
